Run Yanix on Immutable Distros,Like Fedora Silverblue,Deepin 25,etc

If you’re using an immutable Linux distro like Fedora Silverblue, Endless OS, or openSUSE MicroOS, you might run into issues installing apps normally. Luckily, you can use Distrobox to run Yanix Launcher smoothly in a container. Here’s a step-by-step guide using Deepin as an example:
Step 1 – Install Distrobox
First, make sure Distrobox is installed on your system. It allows you to create and run containers based on other distros.
Step 2 – Create a Container
Create a container with the distro of your choice: Ubuntu, Fedora, Arch, etc.
Step 3 – Choose a Version
Select the distro version you want to use. It’s recommended to go with the latest version for better compatibility.
Step 4 – Wait for Setup
Let the container setup process finish. This may take a few minutes depending on your internet speed and system.
Step 5 – Enter the Container
Use the command distrobox enter container_name to enter your container environment.
Step 6 – Install Dependencies
Inside the container, install all required dependencies for Yanix Launcher. Don’t forget to install Git, as it’s required but not listed in the usual instructions.
Step 7 – Clone the Repository
Once dependencies are installed, clone the Yanix Launcher repository and start using it inside the container.
Using Distrobox makes it easy to run apps on immutable systems without breaking your system!!
